An inviting patio and whimsical jellyfish lanterns in the dining room are not the only reasons to check out Bambu! Since February 2009, Bambu has been serving up Pacific Rim inspired cuisine to the Lowcountry. Bambu was recently named Best New Restaurant by the readers of the Moultrie News.
Executive Chef Chang-Lei Yun, previously of Hank's Seafood and Keswick Hall, has sculpted a menu inspired by his own life and culture resulting in Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese dishes. Traditional Asian spices and flavors are used to bring fresh, local ingredients to life and to the American palate. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, and raised in Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Brazil, Chef Yun based the menu on his interpretation of “traditional Asian bistro fare” by injecting his own flavors to create culinary delights that Charleston locals have wholeheartedly embraced.
Beyond the Pacific Rim flavors, Bambu offers a full sushi bar delivering high-end rolls at the hands of our master sushi chefs. Try anything from traditional rolls, crunch, tempura, vegetarian and cucumber to a wide assortment of Sashimi and Nigiri.
